APPLICATION – Classic Pistoneeze 50
Classic Pistoneeze 50 is recommended for pre-war and classic vehicles requiring an SAE 50 monograde oil with detergent and dispersant additives.
This oil is suitable for cars from the period 1940–1960 with properly functioning oil filters and for engines where the crankcase is known not to be heavily contaminated or sludged.
It also offers advantages for engines that require a thicker oil film, for example, due to increased wear, wide tolerances, or warmer operating conditions. Thanks to its mild cleaning action, Classic Pistoneeze 50 helps stabilize internal contamination without dislodging aggressive dirt or sludge like modern oils can.
Description
Classic Pistoneeze 50 is a high-quality, monograde mineral motor oil, specially developed for classic vehicles equipped with a functioning oil filter. The oil consists of carefully refined base oil combined with a detergent and dispersant additive package that helps control engine contamination.
The SAE 50 viscosity provides a thicker oil film for engines with wider tolerances or higher operating temperatures, while the improved cold flow behaviour makes starting easier, even at lower temperatures.
This oil is part of the Pistoneeze series, which offers multiple viscosities (SAE 30/40/50/70) and is optimized according to modern lubrication technology – without polymers – so that the viscosity remains stable over a range of operating temperatures.
Advantages
Exceptional viscosity stability – prevents shear and maintains protection.
Protection against wear, rust and oxidation – tailored to older engine types.
Improved cold flow – easier starting.
Thick oil film – ideal for engines designed for high viscosities.
Historically correct for large classic motorcycles.
