APPLICATION – Vintage Green Gear Oil 140 GL1
Vintage Green Gear Oil 140 GL1 is recommended for transmissions and gearboxes that do not require extreme pressure (EP) additives, and is ideal for classic and vintage vehicles with sensitive metals such as copper, bronze and brass.
The oil is suitable for mechanical systems where GL-1 is specifically specified and, thanks to its very thick SAE 140 viscosity, provides a strong, stable oil film. This makes it particularly suitable for classic cars where modern EP additives can damage synchronizer rings or other non-ferrous metal components.
Description
Vintage Green Gear Oil 140 GL1 is a classic, mineral gear oil without extreme pressure additives. This oil is formulated with high-quality refined base oil and carefully selected additives that protect against rust, oxidation, and wear.
The absence of EP additives makes this oil particularly suitable for older transmission systems designed for mild, non-aggressive lubricants — just as in many pre-war and early post-war vehicles.
