Vintage Green Gear Oil 90 GL1 is recommended for classic gearboxes that cannot use EP additives and is ideally suited for transmission systems in vintage and pre-war vehicles.
The oil provides safe lubrication for synchronization and transmission components sensitive to aggressive modern additives. Thanks to its SAE 90 viscosity, this oil forms a stable oil film under various conditions.
It is the ideal choice for classic cars where GL-4 or GL-5 oils are too aggressive and can damage sensitive components.
Description
Vintage Green Gear Oil 90 GL1 is a classic mineral gear oil that does not contain extreme pressure (EP) additives. It is formulated with high-quality refined base oils, supplemented with carefully selected additives that protect against oxidation, rust, and wear.
The mild GL-1 specification makes this oil ideal for traditional, older transmissions designed for non-aggressive lubrication where modern EP oils can damage yellow metal components such as copper, brass and bronze.
