APPLICATION – Classic Gear EP 80
Classic Gear EP 80 is suitable for classic manual transmissions and other gears that require an SAE 80 single-grade transmission oil. The oil is intended for applications that prescribe a medium EP-doped oil according to API GL-4 and is ideal for classic vehicles with lightly to moderately loaded gears.
Not intended for hypoid differentials or applications that require a GL-5 transmission oil.
Description
Classic Gear EP 80 is a high-quality mineral SAE 80 single-grade transmission oil with medium EP additives, specially developed for classic manual transmissions and gearboxes. Modern transmission oils are often thinner and heavily additised, making them less suitable for older transmissions with classic materials and tolerances.
To safely lubricate classic, valuable, and often expensive vehicles, Kroon-Oil developed the Classic Oils range: a complete range of lubricants tailored to classic vehicles. Classic Gear EP 80 is formulated with high-quality mineral base oils and carefully selected additives, ensuring reliable lubrication and protection without the drawbacks of modern transmission oils.
This oil offers sufficient EP protection for classic transmissions that require it, while remaining safe for classic seals and rubbers.
Benefits
Classic Gear EP 80 offers excellent lubricating properties and provides reliable EP protection for classic transmissions, without adverse effects on older materials. The oil ensures good protection against corrosion and has excellent anti-foaming properties, guaranteeing stable lubrication. Moreover, it is fully compatible with classic gaskets and rubbers, preventing leaks. This makes Classic Gear EP 80 a historically correct and safe solution for GL-4 applications in classic vehicles.
