APPLICATION – Classic Gear EP 90
Classic Gear EP 90 is suitable for classic manual transmissions and other gearboxes that require an SAE 90 single-grade transmission oil. The oil is intended for applications requiring a medium EP-doped oil according to API GL-4 and is ideal for classic vehicles with lightly to moderately loaded gears.
Not suitable for hypoid differentials or applications requiring a GL-5 transmission oil.
Description
Classic Gear EP 90 is a high-quality mineral SAE 90 single-grade transmission oil with medium EP additives, specially developed for classic manual transmissions and gearboxes. Due to the demands placed on modern transmission oils, many contemporary – often low-viscosity – oils are less suitable or even harmful for classic transmissions with older materials and tolerances.
To safely lubricate classic, valuable, and often expensive vehicles, Kroon-Oil developed the Classic Oils range: a complete assortment of lubricants perfectly tailored for use in classic vehicles. Classic Gear EP 90 is based on high-quality mineral base oils and carefully selected additives, ensuring reliable lubrication, protection, and durability without negative effects on classic components.
Thanks to its SAE 90 viscosity, this oil provides a strong lubricating film at operating temperature, ideal for transmissions that require a slightly thicker GL-4 oil.
Advantages
Classic Gear EP 90 offers excellent lubricating properties and provides reliable EP protection for classic transmissions, without adverse effects on older materials. The oil provides good corrosion protection and has excellent anti-foam properties, guaranteeing stable lubrication. Moreover, it is fully compatible with classic seals and rubbers, preventing leaks. This makes Classic Gear EP 90 a historically correct and safe solution for SAE 90 GL-4 applications in classic vehicles.
