APPLICATION – Vintage Gear 90
Vintage Gear 90 is suitable for lightly loaded vintage and classic transmissions, particularly gearboxes with straight or helical gears that require an API GL-1 transmission oil. The oil is ideal for classic vehicles where EP additives are not permitted and for historically accurate applications in classic cars and veterans.
This oil is not suitable for heavily loaded transmissions, hypoid gears, or spiral gears that require EP additives.
Description
Vintage Gear 90 is a non-doped SAE 90 single-grade transmission oil, specially developed for vintage and classic vehicles with older transmission technology. Modern transmission oils are often thinner and contain aggressive EP additives, which means they may be insufficiently suitable or even harmful to classic transmissions.
For this reason, Kroon-Oil developed the Classic Oils line: a range of lubricants that are fully tailored for use in classic vehicles. Vintage Gear 90 is composed of high-quality mineral base oils with excellent resistance to aging and a naturally high viscosity index, which ensures reliable lubrication and protection at operating temperature.
