APPLICATION – Classic Gear Oil EP 140 GL4
Classic EP 140 GL4 is recommended for classic gearboxes and differentials requiring EP protection according to the GL-4 specification.
The oil is safe for use in drivetrains with bronze or brass synchronizer rings, unlike GL-5 oils, which can be too aggressive. Thanks to its higher viscosity, it offers excellent protection and quiet operation at high temperatures, making it ideal for classic cars with older transmissions.
The oil is also perfect for applications where modern oils are too thin or too aggressive for conventional materials, and provides reliable protection under higher loads.
Description
Millers Oils Classic Gear Oil EP 140 GL4 is a high-quality mineral transmission oil formulated with carefully refined base oils and enhanced extreme-pressure (EP) additives. This formulation provides classic transmissions and differentials with a strong protective oil film under high pressure and heavy loads, without the aggressiveness of modern GL-5 oils.
The oil is specifically developed for historic vehicles that require a thicker SAE 140 viscosity and are designed to operate to GL-4 specifications, including systems with yellow metal components.
